CTE Performing Arts Pathway - Drama
Willits High School offers three drama classes in the CTE Performing Arts Pathway: Drama I, Drama II, and Drama III. These classes give students the oppertunity to develop a greater appriciation for theater, learn how theatere skill relate to different job positions, and develop good performing skills. Skills learned in this class may be apllied to your everyday life.

Required Courses to Complete Pathway

The purpose of Beginning Drama is to introduce the student to the many-faceted aspects of theater arts: history, play reading, acting styles, improvisation, pantomime, monologue and dialogue, character analysis, stagecraft, and critical audience appreciation.
This half-year, activity-oriented course, designed for students with little or no theater experience, promotes enjoyment and appreciation for all aspects of theater. Classwork focuses on the exploration of theater literature, performance, critical thinking, communication, creativity, and technical requirements.

Teacher Bio

Hello! My name is Timothy Fischer and I teach all the Drama classes in the CTE Performing Arts Pathway.
I have been teaching for 14 years. I teach English and Drama
I recieved my BA in Theater Art from Sonoma State University and my Masters in Education from La Sierra University.
My hobbies includes Theater(acting, directing, and tech) and collecting Transformers.
One fun fact about me is I toured Europe with a singing group.
