Drama Club

A patch featuring the classic comedy and tragedy masks of theater. The Drama club is currently run by Audrey Sherf, and sponsored by Mr. Fischer and Mr. Cech. They aim to put on at least one full production a year (Spring musical), and they hope to increase that to two a year (Fall play and Spring musical).
The club meets on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:15 to 5:00 pm, but that may change soon. They typically meet in the auditorium.
If you're interested in joining, please come to auditions when they are posted. They take actors and anyone interested in tech (lights, sound, set design, stage manager, etc.).

Since classical Athens in the 5th century BC, vibrant traditions of theatre have flourished in cultures across the world. Greek theatre, most developed in Athens, is the root of the Western tradition; theatre is a word of Greek origin. It was part of a broader culture of theatricality and performance in classical Greece that included festivals, religious rituals, politics, law, athletics and gymnastics, music, poetry, weddings, funerals, and symposia. Nowadays, modern theatre ranges from recreations of classical and monumental pieces of artistry, to beautiful compositions of music and lyrics, to abstract and confusing but emotionally charged all the same. Theatre is a way to put creativity and passion out into the world.
