    • Fill out an application

    • Submit a dual enrollment permission form. High School students must have their parent/guardian and school's permission to enroll in college classes

    • Complete Orientation online or in person

    • Complete the placement tool for math or English courses

    • Register for classes

      • Log in to your MyMendo Account and register for classes. Make sure you have submitted an application and CCAP or SPAD form 1st, or you will not be able to register for classes online. 

      • Enrollment fees are waived for high school students! That means that college classes are free for high school students! Students/families are responsible for paying a Health and Student Representation fee ($12-14) every semester they take at least 1 class. Required books or supplies are also paid for by the student/family.  

      • CCAP Dual enrollment courses, fees, books, and materials are paid for by WHS. 

    • Participate in and complete the class with a grade of 'C' or better

    • Request a Mendocino College transcript after the class ends and submit it to the WHS Registrar in the WHS Main Office to be given high school credit.

    • Although students are encouraged to take college classes, please be aware that receiving a grade lower than a 'C' on a college transcript may result in complications with financial aid eligibility after high school.
    • If a student receives less than a 'C' in a college class, they are highly encouraged to re-take the class before high school graduation and earn a "passing" grade to ensure their financial aid eligibility

    • In the 2016-2017 school year, WHS partnered with Mendocino College to offer college courses on our campus, during our bell schedule, taught by a WHS instructor. Current course offerings are:
      • ENGL-C1000 Academic Reading & Writing 
      • HLH-104 Medical Terminology
      • DAM-281 Digital Design w/Illustrator
      • DAM-205 Introduction to Digital Art
      • STAT-C1000 Introduction to Statistics
      • MTH-210 Calculus & Analytic Geometry I
      • THE-227A Hip Hop Dance: Beginning
      • THE-227B Hip Hop Dance: Intermediate
      • ASL-200 taught by a Mendocino College Instructor

    • Beginning in Fall 2019, Mendocino College will use a variety of information to help determine appropriate placement in Math and English classes, including high school transcripts and grade point averages (GPAs). 
    • Things to be aware of:
      • Math:
        • A grade of C or better (not C-) in WHS Algebra IA and Algebra IB is required to go directly into MTH- 77 Geometry.
        • A grade of C or better (not C-) in WHS Algebra IIA and Algebra IIB is required to go directly into MTH-200 Precalculus or STAT-C1000 Introduction to Statistics.

    • Students looking to fulfill their area e. Language Other Than English (LOTE) requirement for UC/CSU a-g eligibility are highly encouraged to take ASL-200 (American Sign Language) or SPN-200 (Spanish) during the fall or spring semester.
      • Taking either one of these semester-long courses fulfills the full 2-year requirement for UC/CSU a-g eligibility. 
    • Please be aware that these LOTE courses are NOT usually offered during the summer.
