Head Coach Brian Bowles

I have five years of Refereeing after college and 23 years of coaching. First coaching at Laytonville before moving to Willits High.
I started wrestling at four and was moved up to the middle school wrestling team in second grade, wrestling all through high school and then at Santa Rosa J.C then UC Davis before finishing college wrestling for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. 
Wrestling takes all body types, heights, and abilities. Athletes are expected to have a willingness to learn and a positive attitude, looking forward, working hard, and improving daily. Wrestling is truly a sport you reflect on and off the mat. 
Our coaching staff works from the premise of training and hard work while improving skills, confidence, and stamina. Each season starts by meeting the athletes and understanding their starting points, then pushing everyone each day to continually learn and become champions.
