Welcome, Blosser Lane Friends and Families, to our Friday Notes!
Please note the following:
β BLES Families, CAASPP testing begins for 4th and 5th grade next week. We have
exciting prizes and class incentives. To help support your student to do their
best, getting enough sleep and a yummy breakfast is a great way to kick-start
their day!
β BLES Families, Tuesday, April 21st, is an early release; dismissal is 1:20 pm
β Join your student every morning from 7:40 to 7:55 for our morning mile on the
Blacktop!
Please remind your student(s):
β BLES families, toys, and makeup are not permitted at school. Please remind your
students to keep these things at home; they could end up in my June Box
β Blosserβs lost and found is located in the cafeteria. Please come and find your
things.
β Our Art Teacher, Ms. H, is collecting used and unwanted toys, Legos, and blocks
for an art project at BLES.
β As the weather gets warmer, please be aware that no flip flops to schools, and
clothes should be comfortable to wear and school-appropriate.
β Do not drive in the bus lane during morning drop off
Mark your calendars for some upcoming events:
β BLES Leadership is collecting donations for the Mendocino Inland Humane Society.
Please bring them to the office!
β Friday, April 24th, show your school spirit and dress in green and gold
Please remember school is open for drop-off at 7:40 a.m., no earlier. For safety in the
morning, do not cut into the drop-off line or drive in the Bus Lane. Please remember our
Holly and Locust Street trail is open for students to walk to school. We have a staff
person at the end to help students cross the road and get safely to school! The bell rings at
7:55 a.m. Gates around the campus will be closed at 8:15 a.m.; if you need to pick up a
student during the school day, please ring the intercom at the far left front gate. For
safety in the afternoon, cars are not allowed in the parking lot after 2:40 p.m. until the
Buses depart, and please note that parking is not permitted in the red zone.
Thank you for your time and attention to our Friday Notes; have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Mrs. Duran
BLES Principal
