Cabrillo Civic Club Scholarship:

  • $500 award amount

  • Open to students of Portuguese descent

Sacramento Portuguese Historical and Cultural Society Scholarship:

  • Several scholarships available in amounts of $2,525, $1,000 & $500

  • Open to graduating high school seniors of Northern California high schools.

  • Applicants must:

    • Be of Portuguese descent, Grade-point average of 3.5 or better

    • Submit at least one letter of Recommendation

    • Submit an official transcript

    • Essay of minimum 300 words regarding their Portuguese community involvement and the impact of the applicant’s Portuguese heritage and culture on their lives.

    Step 4. Come to one of the local scholarship application workshops to get feedback on your application. Workshops will be from 3:00-4:00 in the Library on 3/20, 3/22, 3/23, & 3/24

    Step 5.
    Come to Xerox night on Tuesday 3/28 and Wednesday 3/29 from 4:00-5:00 at the WHS main hall copy machine. Xerox night is where you can come to make as many copies of your Willits Common Scholarship Application as you need. All you need to do after that is write in the name of each scholarship you will be applying for. If you cannot make it to either Xerox Night, please make an appointment with Nicole Burke before 3/30/17. 

    Step 6. Submit your application(s) to Nicole Burke by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday 3/30. No late applications will be accepted. 

    Step 7.  Plan to participate in the Local Scholarship Interview Night(s) on Wednesday April 19th at 5:30 p.m. and Thursday April 20th (TBD)
